The Meri chair's sweeping curves form a very comfortable seat with the sides curving up to provide generous armrests. Children especially love the Meri chair's generous proportions and I have seen up to three children on the chair at once, which is very satisfying for a designer to see.

The Meri chair came into being in 2000 from a study of how different materials respond to being forced into different shapes. From the starting point of pieces of paper with cutouts to much more substantial materials that could hold a form and had the structural capacity to support the human form.

Meri has been used in many private dwellings and commercial spaces such as, Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) at Federation Square Melbourne, Ebsworth and Ebsworth Lawyers offices in Brisbane and Brisbane International Airport.

Meri has a fiberglass shell with Enduro fire resistant foam and linished stainless steel frame.

A Footstool is also available.
