Woodmark, a family owned company, was founded by Arne Christiansen in 1986 as an importer of upholstered furniture. In 1990 we changed our strategic platform from importing to manufacturing. This enabled Woodmark to offer reductions in price and delivery leadtime as well promote local Australian production.
Over the past 10 years Woodmark has also focused more and more on Australian designed furniture. In Australia we are unique in the way we undertake the manufacture of designed pieces. When we contract a freelance designer, we work with them to develop and prototype their work. This is time-consuming and costly but essential in producing a marketable product.
Woodmark is a Quality Assured company to AS/NZS 9002.94 and adheres to the strict standards of their licensors. Woodmark has built-up an enviable reputation as an innovative and reliable manufacturer in a discerning market and manufactures to the highest quality and design standards.
We pride ourselves on our expertise in resolving complicated detail. Our employees are trained in difficult and unique cabinet and upholstery techniques creating invaluable expertise in these areas. Woodmark has employees who have been with the company since day one. Their loyalty and contribution over the years have only strengthened Woodmark's current position.
Woodmark is customer focused at all levels of business providing excellent customer service and has the reputation for going the "extra mile". Woodmark prides itself as being recognised for quality and innovation. Woodmark values beautifully designed furniture and is committed to producing quality pieces for many more years to come, staying abreast of future trends in design and manufacturing techniques.
